PORTLAND, ME DOG-FRIENDLY TRAVEL GUIDE

PORTLAND, ME DOG-FRIENDLY TRAVEL GUIDE

Labor Day has come and gone and The Autumn Equinox is upon us. As we brace ourselves for the coming cold, there is a beautiful seaside city you and your travel buddy will want to check out, while summer’s warmth still lingers.

It is a popular harbor town situated in the most northeastern state, known for its endless coastlines dotted with lighthouses, hiking trails lined by pine trees, and bounty of fresh fish. Portland, Maine is calling.

Where to Eat with Your Pup

Our Pick:

Eventide Oyster Co.

Head to Eventide’s dog-friendly outdoor patio to enjoy fresh seafood and thirst-quenching cocktails. The patio is open seven days a week from 11AM to 11PM. And don’t forget to try their specialty–the mouthwatering brown butter lobster roll.

What to Do with Your Pup

Our Pick:

East End Beach

It’s not a trip to Maine without a visit to the beach, so take a stroll down to the off-leash area of Eastern Promenade Park and run free for a while in the sand and sea. A game of frisbee fetch is in order.
